CAUSE - Changing Lives One Child at a Time

In 1970, several consumer and provider organizations interested in special education formed the Citizens Committee for Mandatory Special Education. The committee drafted the Mandatory Special Education Law (Public Act 198) and worked to achieve its passage in 1971. In 1975, several of these same organizations founded CAUSE, and in the years since, additional groups have joined the alliance.

This includes people with mental health problems or learning disabilities, their parents, friends, educators and therapists, as well as researchers, legislators and volunteers. news events concerned with mental health or learning disabilities. We currently have more than 6000 resources  listed.

The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities is a United Kingdom based organization which aims to
improve the quality of life for people with learning disabilities by conducting research and sharing the findings with other people.
