A number of publication for adults and pamphlets for teens are available. There is also access to a listing of LGBT youth groups across the nation. Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) http://www.glsen.org This site provides information on creating safer schools, starting a Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) in local schools, finding local chapters, and finding GSAs in schools throughout the country. Healthy Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual (LGB) Students Project (APA) http://www.apa.org/ed/hlgb.html The mission of the Healthy LGB Students Project by the American Psychological Association is to "strengthen the capacity of the nation's schools to prevent the behavioral health risks of LGB students through knowledge development, dissemination, and application, working with and through national organizations of school stakeholders." The site includes recent news relating to LGB student health issues, email listservs for professionals for the purpose of discussing healthy LGB issues, and a searchable database of over 300 journal articles, book chapters, and other publications relevant to this topic. SIGNS: School Survival Guide for LGBTQ Youth and Their Allies http://www.centeryes.org SIGNS is a project of high school students in the Youth Enrichment Services Program of the LGBT Community Center in New York City. The site is intended for LGBT youth and includes how to start a GSA, what to do if a youth is experiencing violence, stories from youth from around the world, an "ask the experts" section, and a list of resources. How to Talk with Kids about Sexual Orientation and Prejudice http://www.nmha.org/whatdoesgaymean This new anti-bullying program is designed to improve understand and respect for youth who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered. Youth Resource http://www.youthresource.com This site provides information on health concerns, religion, youth of color, rural youth, transgender youth, and peer support related to LGBT youth.
